Sohee disorganizes a certain ‘space’ into small pieces which carries her own sensitivity, emotions, and experiences, then reconstructs those pieces, recreating a ‘place’. She intends to newly give birth to the place via her distinctive tone of expressions. Her style could be represented as de-constructivism, yet it has its meaning in that each of the separated elements of the object gets their own distinctive features, while departing from the negativity of destruction and dispersing. After the destruction comes the reconstruction, which really allows individual elements to stand out, forming a new screen. Thus, the final image is a complex of the artist’s experience, emotions, and time.

It is doubtful whether beauty will lose its power. Because beauty was instinctively satisfying the eyes, and there was never a time when I was free from my obsession with beauty. Beauty attracts, makes, and intimate with others. That is the gift of beauty and power. Contrary to the common belief that inner beauty is important, there is a growing opinion that physical beauty may become a new power. It is also a contentious subject and asks us this tricky question. 
Why on earth is madness for beauty bad?

[Prescribed Temperament] Everyone has an excellent temperament. It seems immutable but naturally changes due to environmental factors. It is a constraint to escape if there is a compulsion and regulation for natural change. However, this equivalent communication can come true only when the restriction can be rejected by one’s own voice. Myself intends to reach the equivalent position by investigating the Blue Mountain through the act of cutting while setting it as my utopia. The red colour shown endlessly inside this Blue Mountain is a opposite concept of the colour blue which represents the inescapable genetic temperament.

Living with others in a diversified modern society at times require consideration and sacrifice and limits freedom. People imagine running away to their own space, exhausted from the burden and fatigue that comes from relationships. Comfortable as a mother's womb, opens her breath like a bamboo forest that swallows secret confessions. I draw such place a "island for one person". Since no one has an unimpaired life, we need our own island where we can rest and forget the scars and absence from reality. What does your island look like?
